The BGCC An Evening Impact Gala: Celebrating the Gala, the Evening, and the Impact it has on our Youth

On Saturday, April 18th, more than 300 community leaders, supporters, sponsors, alumni, and advocates gathered at Harrah's Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack for an unforgettable evening dedicated to changing lives and investing in the future of youth across Delaware County.

The 2026 Evening of Impact Black Tie Gala hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Chester was more than a celebration—it was a powerful demonstration of what happens when a community comes together to support the next generation.

Hosted by attorney Tracie Burns alongside BGCC staff members Tiffany Gosa and Titus Robinson, the evening blended elegance, entertainment, inspiration, and purpose into one impactful experience.

Guests arrived dressed in stunning black-tie fashion as they entered the “Impact Cocktail Hour,” where attendees enjoyed networking, refreshments, and live entertainment while exploring an exciting lineup of raffle and silent auction items. The atmosphere was filled with energy as guests bid on exclusive experiences and luxury items including a free trip getaway, original artwork, golf foursomes, iPads, premium spa baskets, luxury cigar kits, signed sports memorabilia, festival tickets, premium spirit baskets, and more.

During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed a live outdoor patio performance by Vision 21 Band, setting the tone for the evening’s celebration. As attendees entered the ballroom, saxophonist Kayden serenaded guests with an elegant dinner performance that elevated the evening experience.

At the heart of the gala was the mission behind the event: raising critical funds for Project Enriching Summer, an immersive initiative designed to provide youth with safe, engaging, and transformative experiences throughout the summer months.

Through Project Enriching Summer, young people at the Boys & Girls Club of Chester gain access to hands-on STEM projects and innovation labs, leadership development opportunities, career exploration experiences, workforce readiness training, mentorship, creative arts programming, outdoor recreation, nutrition education, and college and career exposure opportunities. The initiative also creates paid job opportunities for teens, helping them develop professional skills while preparing for future success.

Throughout the evening, several outstanding individuals and organizations were honored for their commitment to community service, leadership, and youth empowerment.

Honorees included:

  • John 'Jay' Francis — Alumni of the Year

  • Dr. Bryant Greene — Executive Impact Award

  • Michelle Jackson — BGCC Good Spirit Award

  • The HERO'S of Harrah's Philadelphia Casino — Community Service Award

  • Kimberly Clark — Community Service Award

  • Epsilon Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. — Community Service Award

  • Tau Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. — Community Service Award

  • Mark Freeman Sr. — George E. Carter Award

The evening also featured a powerful keynote address from Rev. Michael Robinson, whose message inspired attendees to continue investing in opportunities that uplift youth and strengthen communities.

A particularly memorable moment of the evening was the special recognition of Albert J., who was celebrated for being named the 2026 Pennsylvania Youth of the Year through the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Pennsylvania Youth of the Year competition. As a proud member of the Boys & Girls Club of Chester, Albert took time during the evening to share his inspiring journey and reflect on how the Club helped shape his growth, leadership, and future goals. Guests were moved as he spoke about his experiences competing against youth from across the state and expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone whose support continues to create life-changing opportunities for young people like himself. Throughout the evening, Albert also greeted attendees, took photos with supporters, and served as a powerful reminder of the direct impact the Club has on the lives of local youth.

The Boys & Girls Club of Chester also extended special appreciation to the sponsors whose generosity helped make the evening possible, including Reworld, PA Health & Wellness, Laborers Local Union 413, Monroe Energy, Power Home Remodeling, Harrah's Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack, Sir Lancellot Logistics, DELCORA, WSFS Bank, and Chester Water Authority.

As the evening concluded, one message remained clear: the impact of the gala extends far beyond one night. Every sponsorship, ticket purchase, donation, and show of support directly contributes to creating brighter futures for young people throughout Chester and Delaware County.

The 2026 Evening of Impact Gala was not simply a fundraiser—it was a celebration of community, opportunity, and the belief that every child deserves access to experiences that inspire them to dream bigger and achieve more.
